Industry Codes Overview

You can use industry codes to add the company’s industry to a Business Customer Account or Business Account.

Industries are classified into broad categories such as Digital Products, Education, and Medical Services. Each category is divided into subcategories. For example, the Medical Services category contains subcategories such as Chiropractors, Hospitals, and Mental Health Services.

An industry code is the combination of a category code and a subcategory code. For example:

• The Medical Services category code is 007.
• The Chiropractors subcategory code is 002.
• The industry code for the Chiroprators subcategory is 007002.

You can use the APIs to:

• Retrieve a list of the industry codes for all subcategories.
• Retrieve the industry subcategory for a specific industry code.
• View the industry code for a Business Customer Account.
• View the industry code for a Business Account.
